A Galois connection between operations and relations and an application to Tame Congruence Theory
by
Reinhard Pöschel
Institut für Algebra, TU Dresden, Germany

The Galois connection incuced by ``a function preserves a relation'' can be used to describe properties of algebras by invariant relations. Several applications will be shown, e.g. the characterization of minimal algebras (in the sense of Tame Congruence Theory) by a ternary relation.
