Minimal varieties of logic

``Varieties of logic'' is a catchall phrase used sometimes to refer to these varieties of algebras that have some reasonable connection with (mostly nonclassical) logics. Algebras in these varieties are typically residuated structures, and the varieties are - again typically - congruence distributive. We will present a couple of case studies on minimal subvarieties of some varieties of logic, focusing particularly on the cardinality of the ``set'' of minimal subvarieties.
