Sobolev Gradients and Differential Equations: Applications to Superconductivity

Motivation and description of Sobolev gradients are given. Convergence results are described. Applications to transonic flow, Ginzburg-Landau functionals of superconductivity, elasticity and oil-water separation problems are indicated.
