Elliptic Equations on a Cylinder

In this talk we discuss the existence of positive solutions for some nonlinear elliptic equations on a cylinder in RN+1. These problems are related to finding the best constants (and finding whether these are achieved or not) for some weighted Hardy-Sobolev inequalities in RN.
