Mel and my mathematics.
by
Neil Hindman
Howard University, Washington, DC
I shall be talking about two works that were directly related to Mel's research, both quite old (as Mel and I are). One was my dissertation, " On P-like spaces and their product with P-spaces", and the other is a paper "Minimal n-prime ideal spaces", based heavily on a paper Mel wrote with Meyer Jerison: "The space of minimal prime ideals of a commutative ring".
