Digital Covering space Theory and its applications
by
Sang-Eon Han
Honam University

In this talk, we present recent studies on digital covering space and its applications via digital(computational) topology and show how digital covering space is to be used in computer science, pattern recognition, imaging processing and computer vision. Further we established new two types of digital (k0, k1)- continuity. By use of it, a digital (k0, k1)- homeomophism is made. Due to our new digital (k0, k1)- homeomophism, three types of minimal k-curve in Z2 and five types of minimal k- curve in Z3 which are not digitally homeomorphic each other are showed. Those play important roles in classifying digital images. Moreover, we made the digital (k0, k1)- covering space which is used to calculate the k-type digital fundamental groups of the various images.
