On the S-equivalence and related notions

The Mardešic S-equivalence as well as the Borsuk quasi-affinity and quasi-equivalence of (metric) compacta in a category framework are considered. As the main result, the two new theories (S*-theory and q*-theory), coarser than the shape theory, are established.
