In this talk we are going to prove that if X is a homogeneous continuum that contains an arc, then either X is a solenoid or X contains arbitrarily small generalized Cantor Fans (i.e. X contains a subcontinuum Y for which there exists a subcontinuum A of Y such that the quotient space Y/A is homeomorphic to the cone over the Cantor set, and Y is arbitrarily small).
