Cotelescopes and Derived Limits

The construction of so called cotelescopes coTelk(D) for an arbitrary diagram D of topological spaces is proposed. The relationship of the homotopy groups of the cotelescopes with the derived limits of the corresponding diagrams of homotopy groups is established. Though, in general, this relationship is relatively well known, we are going to discuss some special aspects of the problem.
