Magnus' Expansion Approximations Applied to Linear ODE's Appearing in Machining Applications.

Magnus' expansion provides an approximation method for linear, non-autonomous differential equations which respects the geometric structure of the solution manifold. We analyze the convergence for Iserles' reordering of Magnus' expansion in specific cases such as the Frenet equations and second order scalar equations.
