Considerations concerning the controllability of a hyperbolic equilibrium state

In this paper, a system of nonlinear autonomous ordinary differential equations with control is considered. It is assumed that there exists a value of the control parameters for which the system has at least one hyperbolic equilibrium state. It is shown that under certain conditions, there exists a domain of states which can be transferred in a neighborhood of the hyperbolic equilibrium state by adequately changing the values of the parameters. Numerical examples are given in the case of the ALFLEX reentry vehicle.
