The effect of large surface blowing on the strongly accelerated body is considered. The variable fluid properties, non-unity Prandtl number and viscous dissipation are included in the analysis. The coupled nonlinear ordinary differential equations governing the self-similar flow are first linearized using a quasi-linearization technique. The resulting system of linear equations is then solved numerically using an implicit finite difference scheme with non-uniform step size. For large blowing rates an asymptotic analysis is carried out using the method of matched asymptotic expansion. Analytical expression for surface shear stress and heat transfer valid for large blowing rates are obtained. It is found that these results are in good agreement with the corresponding numerical results.
