Stochastic response of some nonlinear oscillators

Some types of nonlinear differential equations for which the "angular velocity" of the driving mechanism is stochastic are considered. In the first part the equations are linearized. After stochastic averaging differential equations for calculating the mean and variance of the process are put together and integrated numerically. The method is applicable only for small nonlinearity. In the second part computer simulations of Duffing, Ueda and forced vibrations of a pendulum are applied .
