Numerical methods for system of Maxwell’s equations with curvilinear grids

This talk deals with the study of Maxwell's equations for a non-homogeneous medium with initial and mixed boundary conditions. We will study numerical solutions of the time dependent equations in vector form for the electric field, the magnetic field and the current density. The problem is considered on a bounded domain in the three dimensional space with the boundary assumed to be Lipschitz-continuous. We apply two (more or less related) methods, namely a finite difference domain method and a finite volume method, to tackle curvilinear grids. We further study the convergence and stability of the obtained numerical solution and compare the two methods. AMS (MOS) subject classification:} 65N12, 65N30 and 74S05
