The Bohl transformation for symplectic dynamic systems on time scales
by

The classical Bohl transformation (J. Reine Angew. Math. 136 (1906), 268-321) concerns the Sturm-Liouville second order differential equation and enables to express linearly independent solutions of this equation via the sine and cosine functions. This transformation has been extended in many directions, recently also to symplectic dynamic systems on time scales. We are going to discuss various aspects of this transformation, including the formulation of some open problems in the oscillation theory of dynamic equations on time scales.
