We consider the initial value problem for differential difference equation linear system (DDE LS) of neutral type. Let the values of the solution and (or) its derivatives are given at the some fixed points. The inverse value problem for the DDE LS formulates as follows: to obtain the existence conditions for absolutely continuous initial function such that the solution of the initial value problem for DDE LS is studied satisfies the conditions mentioned above. It has been proved that if this inverse value problem is solvable, it has infinity solutions. In this case in deciding on the concrete solution it is necessary to use variational criteria. Some examples of the method developed are given.
