Symbolic calculus for localization operators and applications

Starting from the Shubin symbolic calculus for localization operators, we shall give a symbolic calculus for localization operators with rough symbols. We shall consider the properties for the remainder term operator. Finally, applications to this calculus will be discussed; in particular, we shall show it is useful for the characterization of modulation spaces.
