Mixed and crack type spectral problems for second order strongly elliptic systems
by
M.S. Agranovich
MIEM, Moscow

We consider systems written in a divergent form in domains with Lipschitz

boundaries. In the case of mixed problems, the boundary is closed and the

spectral parameter is contained in boundary conditions on a part of the

boundary. In the case of crack type problems, the boundary is non-closed

and the spectral parameter is contained in transmission conditions. Without

the assumption that the corresponding operators are self-adjoint, we describe

some of their spectral properties in the simplest Sobolev spaces. Under

additional assumptions concerning the boundary, we consider the same operators in

more general spaces.
