On the Durrmeyer variant of Baskakov operators

In the present paper we discuss some problems related to approximation for the integral modification of the well known Baskakov operators. We study some direct results on the summation-integral type modified Baskakov operators. In simultaneous approximation, we establish pointwise convergence, asymptotic formula, error estimations for these certain type of operators. It is observed that these operators also reproduces every linear function, so iterative combinations can be considered to improve the order of approximation. We have also estimated some direct results for the iterative combinations in simultaneous approximation.
