Given a homotopy class of maps between spheres, curiosity leads some to wonder about the existence of a map with minimal Lipschitz constant, i.e. minimal stretch. I'll present a couple results in this relatively uncharted topic focusing on Hopf maps. The talk will require very little technology, and will sadly have nothing to do with groups. However, I think the proofs are fun.
