Homogeneous suspensions are absolute suspensions
by
David P. Bellamy
University of Delaware

An absolute suspension, as introduced by de Groot, is a compact metric continuum X such that for any two distinct points p and q in X, there is a space Y and homeomorphism of the suspension of Y onto X such that the vertices are mapped to p and q. The new result that I shall discuss is that every homogeneous suspension is an absolute suspension.
