Topological classification of inverse limit spaces of tent maps with non-recurrent critical orbit

In recent years there has been intensive research of topological properties of inverse limit spaces K_s of tent maps T_s with classification of these spaces as ultimate goal. By use of symbolic dynamics we were able to classify the inverse limits of tent maps with non-recurrent critical orbit. More precisely, we prove the following result: For s, t ∈ (1, 2], s ≠ t, if T_s and T_t are tent maps with non-recurrent critical orbits, then K_s and K_t are not homeomorphic.
