Cohomology of automorphism groups of free products

Given a free product G, we discuss cohomological properties of various subgroups of the outer automorphism group of G, Out(G). We focus on the Whitehead automorphism group and completely determine its cohomology. We also determine some homological properties of groups that interpolate between the Whitehead automorphism group and a large subgroup of Out(G) known as IA.
