Morse theory and conjugacy classes of finite subgroups

Leary and Nucinkis discovered nice connections between finite group actions on complexes, Morse theory, and counting conjugacy classes of finite order elements in subgroups of right-angled Artin groups.

We give some examples and applications of these ideas in the context of hyperbolic groups.
