The paper studies the propagation of coupled elastic-plastic shock waves in an infinite homogeneous isotropic plate using constitutive equations of type rate. The plate has a circular hole. On the boundary of the hole is applied suddenly a shear impact in two directions, one circumferential, and the other orthogonal on the plane of plate. Two types of shear waves are put in evidence. By using a development in power series, the fundamental system of equations in stresses is reduced to an infinite system of ordinary differential equations. This infinite system is solved taking into account the initial and boundary conditions.
