The dimension for Poincare recurrences for piecewise linear maps on the interval

We discuss the dimension for Poincare recurrences , which is based on the generalized Pesin-Caratheodory dimension, for piecewise linear maps on the interval. We show that in the case of constant slope , i.e uniform expansion, it coincides with the topological entropy.
