Modified Adaptive Approximation in Rd

Several results dealing with adaptive approximation by piecewise polynomials in the Besov spaces as well as spaces of bounded ``Lp-variation", Vs, pr will be presented in this talk. Some results concerning interpolation spaces between Lp([a, b]d, certain Besov spaces and Vs, pr will also be discussed.
