On nil rings and radicals of polynomial rings

In this talk we will present some results concerning the Brown-McCoy radical of polynomial rings and nil radical of power series rings. We consider only associative rings.

We would like to make some comments to the following questions:

1. Can nil ring be simple?
2. If R is nil ring, is polynomial ring R[x] also nil?
