Free semigroup actions and topological entropy.
by

We give a definition of topological entropy for free semigroup actions. Let a finitely generated free semigroup act on a compact metric space by continuous self-maps. To any such action we assign a skew-product transformation, whose fiber entropy is taken as a basis for defining the entropy of the initial action. The main result is a topological analogue of the Abramov-Rokhlin formula in this context.
