\pi-regularity of band graded rings, Munn rings and inverse semigroup rings

Let S be a semigroup and let R=\sum\alpha in SR\alpha be a strong S-graded ring. If S is a normal band, we show that R is \pi-regular of bounded index if and only if each R\alpha is \pi-regular of index <= k for a fixed positive integer k. An extension of this result to rings graded by regular bands and Clifford semigroups will be presented.
For Munn rings and inverse semigroup rings the problem of characterizing \pi-regularity is reduced to the case of group rings.
