Canonical model in the Hardy space over bidisk
by

If E is a separable complex Hilbert space, then E-valued Hardy space H2(E) is used to provide canonical models for contractions. If we identify E with the Hardy space over the unit disk, then H2(E) becomes the Hardy space over the bidisk H2(D2). In this talk we will look at the classical model theory in the context of H2(D2). Since H2(D2) has better structure than H2(E) does, some new things can be done. An application to the Bergman shift will be given.
