Se^x: Dynamics, Topology, and Bifurcations of Complex Exponentials

Our goal in this workshop is to describe some of the interesting topology that arises in the dynamics of entire functions such as the complex exponential family E_S(z) = S e^z. We will see that the important invariant sets for this family possess an extremely rich variety of topological structures, including Cantor bouquets, Knaster continua, hair transplants and explosion points. Most of the lectures will deal with the case of real S-values to keep the complex dynamics prerequisites to a minimum.
