On the Space of Subgroups

Let G be a compact topological group, and let S(G) be the space of all closed subgroups of G with the Vietoris topology.
The talk will have two aims:
1) To show how to calculate S(G) for G compact Lie.
2) To give a partial classification of the homeomorphism types of S(G) when G is profinite.
