Valuations on surfaces
by
Ana Reguera

Let (R, M) be a noetherian local domain and let K be its field of fractions. A valuation --> \nuK* \Phi is said to be centered in R if \nu is nonnegative on R and strictly positive on M. The purpose of the talk is to study the valuations \nu centered in a regular local ring, following Spivakovsky. We will rely on Zariski's theory of complete ideals.
