Joint Similarity and Hyperinvariance for k-tuples of Commuting Linear Operators on Finite Dimensional Space

The lattice of hyperinvariant subspaces for a single n ×n matrix was characterized by Fillmore, Herrero, and Longstaff in 1977. We give a characterization of the hyperinvariant lattice for k-tuples of commuting finite dimensional matrices. We go on to describe a complete set of joint-similarity invariants in terms of this lattice and associated lattice maps.
