Synthesis of digital regulators with the limited word length

The stage of structural realization is the component for decision of general task connected with designing of operators of the functional elements which use digital signal processing (DSP), for example, digital regulators (DR) for automatic control systems. Just at a stage of the structural realization it is possible to take into account the requirements of realization of projected devices (program or circuit) in the maximal degree.
For definition of word length and coefficients meanings of transfer functions of the parts it is offered the perspective approach based on optimization of meanings of coefficients with the limited word length by means of the decision of discrete programming task. With such approach the performance of the given requirements to the frequency characteristics is reached with smaller word length of coefficients, and it is necessary condition for productivity increase of the DSP projected device.
Generalizing told above, it is possible to offer the method of designing of DR transfer functions with limited word length of coefficients, which optimization basis is the original method of random search in the discrete variant of directing cone. Main advantages of this method are high accuracy and speed due to possibility of self-training of the searching algorithm during optimization by means of the registration of its previous results.
