Asymptotic analysis for simple cases of the flow between deformable rolls

Many industrial processes involve flow between deformable rolls. Such processes include coating flow and rolling of metal strip etc... A feature of this problem is the interaction between the solids and the flow contact with them. In this talk, some asymptotic methods are described which have been used to analyse and solve simple cases of this problem. Specifically, we examine the geometry of the inlet where the flux through the gap is determined.
