I would like to consider several examples for which the existence of Arnold's mechanism for diffusion has been proven, and estimate the speed of such a diffusion. In all the case considered, the time of diffusion is controlled by an inverse power of the splitting. The proof consist in a translation of the constructive KAM results into variational language and in an application of Mather theory.
