Which ordinal spaces have connected Hausdorff subtopologies?

A limit ordinal \alpha has no Hausdorff subtopology (i.e. a topology coarser than the usual, order topology) iff \alpha can be expressed as an ordinal sum \alpha = \beta+ \gamma such that 2|\gamma| < |\beta|.
