The students of R.L. Moore
by
Ben Fitzpatrick, Jr.
Auburn University
We discuss some of the accomplishments and activities of the PhD students of R.L.Moore, including their contributions to geometry, continuum theory, abstract spaces, set-theoretic topology, topology of manifolds, infinite-dimensional topology, homogeneity, dimension theory, and algebraic topology. Just as teaching was an essential component of Moore's being, so was it also for many of his students. We shall remark on their activities in this area, as well.
