Hyperspaces homeomorphic to cones

For a metric continuum X, let C(X) be the hyperspace of subcontinua of X, with the Hausdorff metric. In this talk we give a characterization of those continua X such that its hyperspace C(X) is homeomorphic to the cone over a finite dimensional continuum Z.
