s+1 pesudo s-th powers are enough
by
Jean-Marc Deshouillers
Bordeaux (France)
Coauthors: Marius Iosifescu (Bucharest, Romania)

Consider the Erdos-Renyi random model of the sequence of s-th powers (see Acta Arith. 6 (1960), 83-110) yielding the so-called pseudo s-th powers. We prove that, almost surely, any integer large enough can be represented as a sum of s+1 pseudo s-th powers.
