Statistical Models used in Electrical Network Design

The paper deals with statistical model of power transformers load in an enterprise network. It studies the case of the power transformers that supply electrical receivers of the machine manufacturing industry, for the category of cold-working and hot -working consumers. The two categories were taken into consideration in order to study the load distribution for these categories, as well as to point out their mixed behaviour. For building a significant sample oberservations were made on a large number of transformers, eliminating those for which the load distribution presented insignificant load variability. The statistical data processing was effected for 30 transformers that supplied cold-working consumers and another 30 transformers that supplied hot-working consumers. The empirical statistical distribution and the corresponding parameters were determined. The paper highlights the significant differences between the parameters' values corresponding to load distribution for the three cases above mentioned. This modality of approaching the load distribution for power transformers load in enterprise network is a new one, proposing the replacing of the normal statistical model with the Rayleigh statistical model.
