Bayes Estimator for the Location Parameter of Normal Distribution when Scale Parameter is Known

The paper deals with Bayes estimation for the location parameter of normal distribution when the scale parameter is assumed to be known. The analysis is done by using conjugate prior distribution defined with the help of a point guessd estimate. The proposed Bayes estimator has been compared with maximum likelihood estimator and ordinary shrinkage estimator on the basis of their risks under squared error loss.
