A dual of the Pseudo-Smarandache function
by
J. Sandor
Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj, Romania

In paper [1] (see also [2]) we have introduced certain generalizations of the Smarandache function. The Pseudo-Smarandache function is also a particular case. We have introduced dual functions, too. In this paper we study the dual of the Pseudo-Smarandache function, denoted by Z*(n) = max{ m: m(m+1)/2 divides n} We consider certain elementary properties, limits and inequalities for this function. At the end, two irrational series involving Z*(n) are pointed out. References 1. J.
