Ranked Set Sampling with Multiple Concomitant Variables
by

Department of Statistics and Applied Probability, National University of Singapore, Singapore 117543

In many practical problems, the variable of interest is costly to measure but is associated with easily obtainable concomitant variables. In this talk, we discuss how to develop ranked set sampling (RSS) procedures by using multiple concomitant variables for this situation. Two complementary RSS procedures will be discussed: a Multi-Layer RSS procedure and an Adaptive RSS procedure. Their properties and efficiencies will be considered. Also potential applications will be illustrated.
