On nonstrictly contractible polyhedra

Dydak, Segal and Spiez constructed contractible polyhedra which are not strictly contractible. This answered a question of Michael. In my talk I shall present joint work with Karimov - we proved that these polyhedra not only fail to be strictly contractible but also to be simple contractible.
