Invariant pseudometrics on proper G-spaces

In this talk we study Palais proper G-spaces for G a locally compact group. It is proved that on each Tychonoff Palais proper G-space there exists a consistent family of invariant pseudometrics. The existence of an invariant metric on a metrizable Palais proper G-space will be discussed.
