Homogeneous weak solenoids

A weak solenoid is an inverse limit of closed n-manifolds with covering maps as bonding maps. A solenoid is a weak solenoid with regular covering maps as bonding maps. It is known (McCord, 1965) that all solenoids are homogeneous and that non-homogeneous weak solenoids exist (Schori, 1966). We will show that every homogeneous weak solenoid is homeomorphic to a solenoid. This answers a question of Schori.
