The theory of quasi-measures
by
Johan F. Aarnes
Norwegian University of Science and Technology

The theory of quasi-measures is of recent origin, since their existence was established only 12 years ago.

A quasi-measure is defined on the family of all closed and all open subsets of a topological space, and has all the usual properties of a regular Borel meausere, except subadditivity.

The construction and properties of these entities is deeply intertwined with the topological properties of the underlying space.

The talk will discuss the construction, the problems encountered and give several examples and applications.
